No LIE is of the TRUTH

"I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth" (1 John 2:21, NKJV).

I  have read this part of the New Testament many times.  This verse has caught my very attention because of the words "...that no lie is of the truth."  The over-all theme of 1st John is basically a review on the fundamental tenets of the Christian faith or shall we say Christianity's "back to the basics."  In the abovementioned verse, the Apostle John refers to these fundamentals of the faith (i.e. the Apostles' teachings/doctrines) as the truth.  And based on the context of the verse, it can be easily grasped why.

Taking that part of the verse plainly and out of biblical context does not easily lose what it means.  It says what it plainly says - that there is no lie of the truth.  Even an objective thinking non-Christian reading this part of the Bible will agree.  One of the worst things a person can do to himself is to tell a lie to himself.  For obvious reason, you know that you are lying and what you are saying to yourself is plainly a fallacy.

This is what I always believe to be true, that truth will remain unchanged no matter how many lies one person can counter against it.  One of many people's best kept secrets are of what is true and not what is false.  My take on it is that whenever truth is revealed, there will always be hearts opened and eyes unblind.  May we always seek that which is of truth and be set free.

What can you tell me about my post today?  Please let me know.

FOCUS YOUR EYES ON and ponder upon

Before I go to bed this very early morning after reading some articles for my report, I have posted some photos that I want you to look at and enjoy!  As you look at the photos, I want you to ponder upon these questions:
  • Are these living matters a product of a random, mindless, unguided process, a mutagenesis, or the "selfish" genes? or
  • Are these living matters a product of creation by a trancendent supernatural intelligence?
By the way, I took these pictures last December, 2010 during the Christmas break at our little but diversified farm in our village.  I will post more picture in the next few days.  But for now, look at the photos, enjoy, and ponder!
